Discover HARP: results and prospects

2018 was marked for Kharkov Bearing Plant by Discover HARP large presentation world tour. What is its essence? One time HARP products were supplied to over 40 countries of the world. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the plant lost the connections with many markets for some time. In the 2000s the taken track to deep production allowed HARP not only to rebuild but also to increase the production and engineering potential. Annually the plant adopts and manufacture over 100 modifications of bearings and bearing units of global quality level.

The aim of the tour Discover HARP is to demonstrate the facilities and capacities of HARP for the world agricultural society, allowing the foreign markets to open Kharkov Bearing Plant for themselves and to estimate the high level of its developments and products.

In 2018 HARP took part in over 30 international exhibitions, visited 20 countries of Europe, North America, East Asia and the CIS. This year there are 5 debuts on such exhibitions as EIMA, China International Bearing Industry Exhibition, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, Caspian Agro, Techagro on HARP account, what allowed to expand the international partnership and enter the new markets (Italy, China, Canada, Azerbaijan, and Czech Republic).

In addition, according to the results of participation in international exhibitions, HARP products attracted the attention of many visitors from Croatia, Greece, Denmark, Hungary, Romania, Germany, and other countries. HARP strengthened confidently the positions in the Baltic states. The company JSC IGNERA extended the distributor exclusive contract for the second year, representing HARP products in Lithuania and Latvia. It is planned to enter the markets of Armenia, Georgia, Tadjikistan, Turkey and to return to the markets of Argentina and Brasilia, where HARP supplied product before, but after the introduction of the instruments of foreign trade state regulation the supplies became complicated and the barrage fees almost excluded the bearings from the market.

 The sales of bearings with the seal of increased tightness, that provides 100 protection, are increasing and increasing in Ukraine as well as on the world market. In addition, in 2018, there is an increasing demand on HARP bearings for general industry and in comparison to the last year, the demand and correspondently production volumes of Kharkov plant have increased by 50 .

HARP always aims to be closer to the customer. The open webinars and excursions to the enterprise are organized with that purpose. The start of industrial tour to the enterprise was in July and since that moment around 100 people have visited the plant: representatives of dealer companies, trade organizations, engineering enterprises, specialists from IT-industry, who found out more about HARP as about powerful, modern enterprise with glorious 70-years history and saw how the plant works and develops.
